Philadelphia's one and only Morgan F P Andrews (of The Puppet Uprising will be on tour with Erik Ruin. They will be touring from Virginia to Maine and will bring a sequence of short shadow puppet shows based on the work of John Cage, Bertholdt Brecht, and other lesser known luminaries.

About the Casco Bay Cabaret: 

Twice a year, the People's Free Space hosts the Casco Bay Cabaret. It is a festival of puppetry, performance, music, dance and cheap art. Each show we have around 8 different acts that perform with a comedic MC, in between act clowning, and/or music. Each show is different and we are trying to create a space where new performers are given a venue to perform, or seasoned performers can try something new.

Some of the past performers have included:

Ben t. Matchstik, Superior Concept Monsters, Hurdy Gurdy Puppet Theater, Cycle Circus of Impending Doom, Kelly Nesbitt, Frida Bus Puppet Theater, Myles Roberts, a 15 person collaborative performance, Dylan Blanchard, Jeff McCreight, Burning Bush Puppet Theater, and a lot more.

Each cabaret we also have a cheap art bazaar, where local artists are encouraged to bring art to sell for cheap!
